Quick Start Guide

Get started quickly with Kernel. Sign in, create a repo, and design.

First Steps in Kernel

Kernel organizes work through Workspaces and Repositories. Here's how to get started:

1. Accessing Your Workspace

• Log in to Kernel

• You'll see your active workspace in the header

• Use the workspace switcher to move between different workspaces

2. Creating Your First Repository

1. In the "Create New" section on the Home page, click "Repository"

2. Name your repository

3. Share access with workspace members and set permissions (you'll be set as Admin by default)

4. Start adding content

3. Creating Your First Construct

1. In the "Create New" section, click "Construct"

2. Choose your input method:

   • Manual sequence entry

   • File import (.gb, .dna., or .fasta formats are supported)

   • Start from a template

4. Basic Navigation

• Use the left sidebar to access:

  • Home

  • Repositories

  • Tools

• Use the global search in the header to find content across your workspace

• Access design tools from the right sidebar in the construct editor
